This week's headline stories NSE's IPO went forward with top of the range pricing and a little perform listing allowed it to break its 42.9 pe to hit 43 at least briefly. That's almost double the ratio of leading stock exchanges in the usa. At the same time, it struck me as being fairly canny pricing, although publicity was suggesting that it was muted demand and muted aftermarket. The truth was institutions were eager for NSE retail not so much because they couldn't see a short term price uptick. Overall demand was 5.7 times the offer, with institutional buyers bidding 12.7 times their allocated portion. The non institutional investor category, reserved from wealthy individuals was subscribed 6.5 times while the retail investor portion was covered 1.3 times overall. The key point is NSE goes public at almost double the PE of NASDAQ and ICE 42.9 versus 23.6 and 21.9 respectively. ASX Meanwhile, is still on the central bank naughty step, albeit with a noise phased in the verbal diary of the Blob. It reminds us of the uphill struggle CEO Anthony Attia faces to make the alt market structure disaster area a cohesive entity once again. Beyond that hyper waffle, all we can say is may the ATIA era deliver great chance. After a mere generation of waiting, NSE was of course able to slot itself into the publicly listed parish. And at the same time there's a very interesting and exciting MOU from Southeast Asia with set, the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the New York Stock Exchange signing an mou, paving the way for cross border collaboration between Thai and US Capital markets. Another Asian cooperation deal for Asia following the Korean deal just the other week. 3689 Hong Kong is preparing to accept a lot more mainland collateral as the offshore yield curve development gains traction. That is a very, very exciting news indeed for the offshore yield curve trade in due course and as we'll see for also other products subsequently in this discussion. Nyse also tapped blockchain.com to reach crypto investors up to 44 million users in fact with tokenized stocks. A very interesting development to their recent react. Meanwhile, not so much excitement in results this week, but uzzak uzak Their net profit rose 18.6% over $18.7 million in the first half of 2026. All sorts of problems in Nepal this week it seemed to be a broker data center issue which may have been a hack, may have been a ransomware attack and more. Meanwhile not such a good week either for people PFTs, the stock exchange in Ukraine were on account of technical problems related to Russian attacks on Kiev Stock exchange had closed down September 23rd and September 24th resuming on the 25th. Finally a bit of news from a NASDAQ HSBC of adopt nasdaq's Calypso enhanced exchange traded derivatives platform over in regulation. Well a spot of the zero shock here. The CFTC announcing something we've known about prediction markets since the turn of the century saying prediction markets mentioned contracts present a higher risk of market manipulation. Career path this week at Bursa Malaysia have appointed Ravinder Singh Bakam Singh, the former Maybank technology head as group Tech director. That just leaves us to think about, well, European tax competition claiming another megascalp as the UK's third largest taxpayer departs for Greece. Chris Rokos, who is not actually of Greek extraction, apparently will pay a flat rate tax of €100,000. That's $116,000 as opposed to Rokos's current bill of 330 million pounds. That's 450 million US dollars, which made him the UK's third largest individual taxpayer. UK tax take as a whole is 1.1 trillion pounds. That's 1.5 trillion US dollars thanks to perma spend thrift socialist spending levels which have been rising pretty much ever since Mrs. Thatcher left office two generations ago.
